Yaris Questions

Hi everyone,

I'm new on these forums and currently negotiating on a Yaris T-Spirit for my fiancee. Hope you can help me some questions I have. Firstly, is the Yaris made here in the UK or is in a Japanse import? I know Toyota have a factory in Derbyshire but am not sure which models they make there.

Finally, with regards to the new Yaris, is there any indication on when the cars are due to arrive here? I asked the sales consultant if the range was due for a revamp or be replaced and the answer was an emphatic no. Its a good thing I looked up these forums or else I would not have known anything about the new range. If its going to be between 6-12 months before the new ones arrive then I might just wait for those.

not made in UK! either made in japan or france (from the outside look on drivers side at the top of the windscreen, should be a little sticker that tells you).

the new shape yaris is apparently due for release in november this year!

Hi and welcome mate! If its a T-Spirit it'll be assembled in France, they are all assembled in France apart from the T-Sport which is still made in Japan! I say not built because all the parts are made in Japan and just put together in France I think!

Anyway, the new model should be out I'd guess around February/March next year, the new Yaris was realeased in Japan a couple of days ago and you can check out another thread on here for more info!

Yep, its a 5 door T-Spirit Auto. We do need something a little more economical around town than the fuel guzzlers we currently have! I agree that its a nice car, I was shocked how much rear headroom there was in the car, I'm 6'3" and was more than comfortable!

By nice car I meant your Lexus but I'm sure the Yaris will be good enough for your wife (to be), she will absolutely love it if you decide to go for it!
