Tunning 3zz-fe Engine

Hi guys,

I'm new on this site and the main reason I joined is to find out about 3ZZ engine mods. I bought a 1.6 vvt-i 5 doors hatchback 2003, and most topics I've seen were about the 2zz engine or the T-sport.

Has anyone tried anything on the 3ZZ?

or if not why? does the engine have any potential?

I would appreciate if you could share your knowledge on this subject.

CAI and catback gives few extra horses if lucky, next might be turbo. This engine has quite a high compression ratio limiting turbo... but change pistons and turbo it with some intercooling... ?

I owned a such type of car before TS. but sedan(sallon).I had tried a chip tuning

using obd.tuning as vehicle but it didn' work because its ECU was produced by

Toyota not by BOSH or something like this.

The 1.6 engine can be tuned ,for sure, but you should find the apropriate

tuner.As I remember its torque increases from 150nm/m to 169nm/m and for power from 110cp to 120cp or so.
