well in my opinion NO. their discs are good though. They are actually OE spec so they will be as good or as bad as the originals. I find OE pads dreadful!

compared to ferodo premier, ebc green and mintex fast road they are crap.

Main problem i Had was when they heated up the brake fade was awful, but mind you i did ring the cars neck.

Do they wear out quick or warp the disc something?

It cant be bad as EBC i heard so many bad stuff about EBC from warp disc due to their pads to pads wear out in no time & thats from normal driving!

Delphi are one of my customers.

As mentioned above, their discs are OK and their pads are nothing special. The pads don't bite that well - especially when warm and dust up like buggery - pretty much the same as stock pads.

I have used EBC on most of my UK cars and am very happy with them - they bite better from cold and give up much less dust than stock pads. Never had a problem with them.

But I also know there are better pads and discs about than EBC...

I think system G pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Delphi pads don't wear out the discs excessively - so i wouldn't say they are overly hard.

On the starlet I have put Black Diamond Discs and Greenstuff pads. On the starlet forum the black diamond discs seem to get a battering but over on the VW forum they are the disc of choice.

greenstuff pads are okay but I think Ferodo DS2000/DS2500 is the best, unfortunately they are expensive, they don't make them for all cars either.

I have been pleased with black diamond discs and EBC pads, like you i've heard some horror stories about ebc discs so i steer clear of them.

I put Delphi front discs and pads few months ago by F1 Autocentre, Enfield. It is very noisy, squealing loud especially in hot weather and in rain.

After 2 months the noise is better.

May be Mechanic should do something about it.
