Looks like there will be a mini convoy from The Hungy Horse Pub in Sixfields, Northampton to Watford Gap Services. We will be leaving no later than 07:35 to get to the services on time.

I just got back from following a route printed off from Map24 - what a load of w :censor: k

Never again will I use map24 :ffs:

AA Routeplanner was not much better either.

Used a regular road atlas and eventually found it.

It wasn't the easiest of places to find and the roads leading to it are quite narrow with a few blind rises followed by corners and visa versa. The road signs are very small and difficult to read. If you miss a turn with 25+ cars in tow, it's going to be really difficult to find somewhere suitable to turn around.

I would sugest taking it easy along them little country roads and try to keep the convoys together - if they get split people will get lost.

After finding it the first time, I wasn't entirely happy about being responsible for leading an entire convoy. So I made my way back to the motorway and re-traced my steps all the way back to the main entrance just to really make sure of the route. I nearly missed a vital turn second time around :rolleyes:

After all that, Southern convoy will get there on time :thumbsup:

The mobile I'll have with me on the day (handsfree) will be my work number.

This is incase the southern convoy gets split up. I also sugest everyone takes a road atals.

What does worry me, is that the slowest car in the convoy is leading it :unsure:

Probably for good reason too. I have chosen a challenging route into Bruntingthorpe - which should proove to be loads of fun.

The MKI's engine is holding strong. Will check fluids before departing - just to make sure.

Oh BTW anyone going from Northans, we will be having a Mini Convoy to the Services from The Hungry Horse Pub in Sixfields. We leave at 07:35 sharp - you snooze, you loose. :D

I have a red mk1 MR2 like Garricks, so if we get split up I'll just pretend I know where I'm going :rolleyes:

I'll chuck my two way radio in the car if I remember, anyone else have one?

what about if we meet up at trowell service's about 7:15 then we got half hour to get to the proper meet. i think trowell service's is after junc 26.
