check if its had a clutch recently as there are two bushes on the suspension lower arms that need replacing if disturbed. if in any doubt call fensport and ask for andy he knows this car inside out

I've a similar problem (knock on acceleration/ deceleration, and from lock to lock) - with my GT4 it's the track control arms (lower suspension struts). The ball joint connection to the 'dognut' is worn. This means new ones unfortunately, although I'm trying to source alternatives.

I done the work myself in the end...which saved a fair bit of cash and stressed me a little but it was the lower control arm as you have suggested. Although I am having to do the other side now and tried to source the part from america, I believe it works out much cheaper?

Sourcing from america?

Make sure is exactly the correct part as the st205 was never sold in the states. ;)
