Curious as to what club people prefer and where they spend most of their time about. I honestly don't expect everyone to post "TOC", as I myself have been visiting IMOC quite alot recently. TOC seems alot quieter recently than normal, so it would be the norm for people to use others also.

So what do you like and why ??

I use TOC the most but am on IMOC most days too. Depends what I want, TOC is a friendly forum with a good mix of people. IMOC is more specialist to the MR2 (you don't say) so I find more technical things about the MR2 on there (not that I'm very technical!).

TOC is my club as i dont just own a MR2 ive got the Surf as well.

The MR2 is mainly a fun car for the weekends so although i am registered with other MR2 clubs ive hardly ever posted in them like i do TOC.

I voted other.

I don't consider TOC as an MR2 club. I feel it the best Toyota site around. The people and advice are mostly good B)

If I wanted specific MKII MR2 advice though, I would go to MR2OC and IMOC. More recently I have found I needed MKI advice so I go to IMOC, MR2OC, MKI Club and a few of the American clubs sites. I try not be biased towards any of them though and often cross-post between forums to get a broader view of what I am looking for.

I was involved in giving advice to Jeff and Graham when they first set up MR2OC and was once a moderator on it as well. I first joined IMOC in November 02 when I was looking for my Rev3...

Obviously I spend most of my time on more local forums but really enjoy this one....more so the people, more light hearted & tend to talk, listen, and not argue etc. I can see why some of you comment on IMOC being full of more technical stuff but while it is and there are a few that knw heaps there is still a lot of incorrect info, and much like the MR2OC with many more members the bull**** sticks a lot easier. All this talk about the "thin" and "thick" walled blocks etc. is a good example.....my sources (of which are VERY VERY experienced in 3sgte's) a long with a few other guru's tell me that there isn't enough consistant evidence to prove the claims yet every 2nd serious post on there seems to bring it up as a cause for a problem etc.

Just my 2 cents :)

Cheers

mr2oc.co.uk for me, but i drop by most mr2 sites

TOC - 30 posts

IMOC - 190 posts (new board) about the same again on the old board

mr2oc.co.uk - 1895 posts

mr2oc.com - 264 posts

anything technical gets crossed posted

Just TOC for me  I'm a bit of a hermit so venturing out into other forums is a big no no  not unless theres someone here who is prepared to hold my hand?

I think the percentage for its own forum would be similar if you posted the same poll in each forum.

I think each has its own merits and ppl are happier in a forum where they are familiar with other members, banter etc.

I voted for Orange County!

I spend most of my time on the IMOC board now. Since they re-opened the forums it seems to have a lot more technical resources, and the peeps on there are also very helpfull (that's not to say that you guys aren't tho' ).

Not sure I'll be renewing my membership to TOC next time round :(

Totally agree....

TOC is not an Mr2 club, I personally use IMOC for tech info etc but after the welcome i received on joining here. I come on everyday to see whats happening.

The other 2 clubs are obviously more specific. But there are a lot of local boys on here and we are all out drinking on a weekly basis.

Just seems to be a central point of referance (due to the supras, celicas & Mr2's driven).

I can't seem to get the more techie stuff on this forum. And when I can't I use another.

IMOC

MR2OC.com & .co.uk

MR2FAQ.com

Quite a few of them ..

Although i dont psot for a while and stuff, I would say TOC is my mr2 home.

I did start out on mr2oc, but found it to be dead at times, and not as helpful, and also wasnt many things going on in my local area.

Then ken kicked my **** and told me to get on TOC, and would say that i been on here alot more.

Pop on mr2oc now and then like.

Ain't much point adding them as they don't have a forum to date, IMOC didn't have until recently and the old list was a nightmare to keep up with :(

Personally i read TOC, IMOC(now) and then OC everyday along with GT4OC as it's good to see different views on stuff but i hardly post on any except TOC as i'm just browsing :D

Was good to see us all join up at Bruntingthorpe and create 1 big Toyota meet ;)
