Hello all, ive always loved the whole skyline image thing BUT.. i like the good old r32 more than any other model. Afterall its lighter + has the same engine as the rest. So....

I was just wondering whats everyones views on this motor? Also are they expensive to do anything to?

There going for around £10,000 so it may be a good investment to get one.

Cheers

R32's are rear wheel drive... not 4wd I believe.

Great car. Supposed to be the hardcore Skyline of them all.

Go for the V-Spec II if you can.

The R32 was both 2 and 4wd .. depends on the model.

And is you get the 4wd, you can tap in a switch to the ECU to change from 2 to 4wd on the fly :)

HOW COOL !!

One of the cars I'm tempted by .. about 10k should get you a minter .

Mate... I'm in trouble.

Was supposed to be going to IKEA today with the missus but had to be back for around 13:00... but after a heavy night out, I couldn't get my **** out of bed.

She's gone out now... I'm feeling a little worse for wear still... no way I should drive!

Thought I'd try to get back in the good books by doing the lawn... but with a bad head and dodgy stomach it wasn't the best idea!!! icon8.gif:lol:

Sorry mate. *mental note - make an effort*

...and sorry pswales for the thread hijack!

my next car next year :)

the r32 gtr is an awsome car, looks hard as ***** and goes like stink.

i am tempted to sell the mr2 to get one for this summer but it would pretty much drain all of my hard earned cash.

going to japan in jan 06 i am tempted to hand pick one while i am over there. (2yrs of japanese lessons are usefull when your over there! )

Personally I'd go for the GTS-T - RWD, Turbo option B)

gtr all the way!

Go for the GTR. R32s are great great cars tho bear in mind...your looking at a 15 year old car...it will be difficult to find one thats been well cared for. With 10k youll end up buying one in average condition. Your looking more at around 12k if you want an r32 in clean condition. More or less same running costs as a supra.

GTR..mmm lovely motors! Remember seeing a load at JAE last year when they were "popping" the exhausts...one bloke got a bit too close and singed half his hair off!!! I was severely tempted by them then.....still am lol

Go to skylinesrus.com. The owner is a true enthusiast and will chat to you for ages no probs if you want info. I would only ever import a skyline from his company. Read the site and youll know what I mean.

I'm not a huge Skyline fan, but the pick of the bunch for me is the R32 GTR. Its a proper car, before the skyline lost itself!

swales p,

shame you're not in london or at bruntingthorpe last sun.

would have taken you out in my r32gtr.

btw, the gtr's are not permanent 4wd.

under normal driving, it's rwd

when the rear wheels start to spin, then power is transferred to the front.

it's 4 wheel steer as well on gtr models

my car has lots of mods done and it's not cheap to maintain and insure.

my car puts out 600+ horses

feel free to ask me any questions, i hope i can help
