Gt4 Help

My mates GT4 (gen 5) has come back from a full rebuild but now seems to hesitate on boost. There is also a strong smell of fuel when driving and flames shoot out of the exhaust. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be and how to cure it. Is it an overfuelling problem??

Quick replies appreciated guys.

Cheers

sounds like its running really rich especially for it to be spitting flames, mine doesn't do it any more :( since the re-map. well not of it's own accord ;)

hesitation on boost could be fouled plugs, damaged leads, worn rotor arm or cap

Sounds like serious over fueling. Check the fuel pressure. Should be around 3 bar/40PSI . If its higher could be a fault with the regulator and/or ecu. Check connections every where under the bonnet. Might be something random.
