towbar electrics

I have a 1996 Toyota Carina E 2.0 GLi Estate and plan to fit a towbar. This seems easy but I'm a bit worried about the electrics. The connections to the tail and brake lights seem all right, but how do I access the feed to the rear foglights as this supply seems to come through the roof and via a rubber conduit to the foglights which, of course, are in the tailgate?

in this case it may be best to locate the fog light wire at the fude box and run a feed to the towbar electrics this way......this is what ive done on a few cars that have awkward cable routing

or even from the switch.........best bet though is the feed to the rear light from the fuse box
