I have just bought the above vehicle and would like to get my hands on a workshop manual. Haynes do one which is purportedly for the US market but don't do one for the 1800 ST model. Anyone help/direct me?

Hi there,

I have a 1.8ST 1996 Celica myself. I bought the Haynes manual you mentioned...it is made for the USA in mind. However, the only differences is the language they use.

They refer to the BOOT as the Trunk, BONNET as the HOOD...etc. There is a list provided in the book of words converted from American English to British English.

Apart from that the book is perfect for your car.

Hi guys, Toyota sell workshop manuals for our model ( mines the 1.8 SR )and are sold in 3 or 4 parts, engine, body, electrics etc.

I bought a set at the Billing show , 2nd hand ,but the best money i ever spent:D.

Part number on the front of the body & suspension manual is RM380E.

The engine manual which covers the 4A-FE, 7A-FE engine is RM611E
