Ok, Im being an indecisive female again. I've seen 2 tents I like and think are good deals, but would like your opinions :D

First option is :

Vango Delta 300+

3 man tent with sleeping bags etc £85

Second option is :

Vango Venture 500

venture500.jpg

5 man tent with sleeping bags etc £99

Considering I was offered the venture for £99 (without all the extras) by a certain tent specialist, I think its a pretty good deal. Theres only going to be 2 of us using it this year, but next year they may be 3 peeps + sprog.

Has anyone got one of these two? Or anyone recommend any others (links of where to buy would be good too lol)

Help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :group-cuddles: :D

Where you getting them from?

If I were you, for the extra tenner, I would go with the bigger one .. you never know when you might need the space, and it's much better to sleep relaxed than cramped up! :)

rach go for the bigger one , you will only have to buy a new one next year if you get the smaller one so even though its ten quid more you will save money in the long run, and thats a great deal anyway for that - go and cross his palm with silver :P

That links says it's £99....

If I was gonna choose one of the above two Rach, I'd go with the 5-man.

Dont know why, just a tad dubious over argos tents

Read quite a few reviews saying they arent upto much, esp if it rains (which its bound to do as Im camping for the first time in years lol)

I hate spending money, esp when Im not sure whether to buy it or not :crybaby:

Rach your thinking along the right lines, Vango is a well established make for camping equipment, and they make good quality products. I paid £50 for my sleeping bag! Get the 5 man tent for the extra £14, you can never have enough room when you are camping.

You said yourself it was cheap.... I'd be ****** off if it didn't last 1 weekend tbh, but will it last 50 weekends? :P

Did it rain at JAE?

First off theres absolutely nothing wrong with argos tents - I used a one man argos one for the whole of the west highland way last summer and it was fine.

Secondly after years of struggling with small tents myself ... dont. Get one thats too big to fill and ideally one u can stand up in. Taking your trolleys off whilst under the influence is bad enough if you can stand without doing some indian mystic moves!
