Right....i may have just stumbled upon literally 'the holy grail' of cars.

I have found a MK1 Supra :D :D :D

Problem is its in Newzealand, how easy is it to get it back over here?

i've never gone abroad and brought a car back with me

The guy wants about £950 for it.... but its in great condition

Any way you can get it inspected by someone over then then get it shipped if it checks out?

I know theres people who do it in Japan as they're always advertising in the back of Jap Performance etc, they apparently take the hassle out of buying an import

There must be someone over there who can do it with a bit of searching, the place is full of Jap cars

Did the MK1 Supra actually use the same body Shell as the Mk2 Celica (1978 - 82 era)?

Did Mk1 Supra ever appear in UK?

Same as celica mk2 but with longer body and wider track.

Nope, mk2 supra was the first to be sold over here.

Its the 2.0ltr Celica XX, i know they did a 2.6 and a 2.8. I think the engine in this one is the same as the one in your celica :) Strange as i thought the celica xx only came with the 6 cylinder engines... but its deffo a celica xx (supra).

Bah stick with the mk4 project :D

Of course dude ;) Just look at my siggy

Ah, it's got the M-E engine then, 2.0 litres inline six pot.

Maybe if you ask nicely, Charlie would donate you a 7M-GTE to swap in it.

The engine in my Cellie is a 2T-B four pot 1.6 litres (although sporting some 3T bits and big ***** twin carbs :D ). The UK version of it however came with the 2.0 litres four pot 21R. Or was there still the 18R too?

Yves.
