Steering Fogs...

Managed to get a hold of a set of these (by accident) and just wondering how they work.

My car is a uk Rev 1 and doesn't have the looms for the steering fogs,

if i get the looms and switch will they work? or is there more to it than that?

I dont have power steering either if that makes a difference....

I thought it would be massive job, not worth it just for 'steering' fogs.. thought it was a bit of a novolty really.. I never really used mine.

Got them in my boot!

i think they are class

when belting down a dark country lane its great to flick them on and they light up the corners as you go round them before the headlamps do

**and beofre anyone starts ill inform i swith them off if i see other road users!

You need the switch, the sensor on the steering column and the steering fog ECU. It's an expensive mod for what it is. There is a motor in the lamp that moves the reflector.

Thanks for that Stef!

Not going to bother wiring them up to steer,

never use them anyway but i like the look of the car with the fogs fitted.

oooh.... you need quite a bit to get a non steering fog car to have steery fogs. Too much hassle me thinks.. and no, you can't nick the bits from my motor Rico.... lol.

Should we start a poll? :P

Think its all to do with what front you have, I think aftermarket fronts dont really work with the fogs.
