Main Dealer Warranty Servicing

Hi,

Has anyone any experience of what Toyota (UK) 's attitude is to getting your car serviced by other than a main dealer while the car is under warranty.

I have heard you should keep receipts and specify Toyota parts to be used only.

Having just changed from a Lexus the RAV servicing is so cheap I cannot imagine getting it cheaper elsewhere - just paid £75 for a 10k main dealer service (albeit using oil I supplied).

Guess geographically dealers my be further away (mine dealer is at the end of our road !!) - but still worth making the effort to avoid any warranty issues - plus the dealers are more likely to make a goodwill gesture if any claims are less than black and white if you have a set of proper stamps.

What sort of savings can you make ?
