ok so first off, sorry its not a toyota, but the GF thought u clever people would know more than the Ford lot !!

She has a mk4 fiesta, heres the problem ( bar her owning a fiesta before any 1 decides to be smart :lol: ) at high speeds when trying to enter 5th gear it wont allow it, you get the grinding noise as if the clutch is not down!! my first thoughts were that it could be the clutch , but all the other gears work fine!! only 5th, unless this is a sign that it is on its way out!!

shes going to get it checked, but would be greatfull if anyone has an possible ideas before we do

any advice would be great

Sounds like it

You should be able to get a gear box from a scrapers fairly easily and cheaply for one of them and their real easy to fit even if your a novice
