Hi, hope someone out there can help me, i have lost my keys to a toyoya avensis 1998 s reg 2.0 diesel estate, i have got a new key from toyota which cost £150 but this will only activate the electrics and release steering lock etc, but it will not start the engine, how do i go about getting the key reprogammed, is it something you can do yourself? or is it that i have to get a second hand ecu and ignition lock with key?

ANY ADVICE MUCH APPRECIATED :help:
