Auto Gearbox

:( hi can anyone help i just bought a auto box for my previa but unfortunatley i was told by a mechanic that the gearbox was no use because i didnot get the convertor with it i was wondering do i really need the convertor could i not use the one from my own gearbox tried to get the convertor from guy i bought the box from told me tough so does anyone know if the box is now useless thanks for your help

Providing your original torque convertor is ok,then you should be able to use it with the replacement transmission.

What was the problem with the original auto. transmission ????
