4cyl To V6 Swap

Hi guys I am new to this board and I have a question. I have 2 90 4runners and one is parts. The one that is good is my daily driver. It has a 4 banger in it. I was wondering if anyone would know if the V6 from the parts vehicle would be a straight bolt up to replace the 4cyl or not. If it is going to be I am going to knock it out asap. Thanks in advance.

With the Surf you'll need the loom and ECU. That should cover it. The brakes and boxes were the same. The bell housing on the gearbox will need changing over with the V6 one. Mounts from the old engine bay will need to come out with the engine.

These kind of things are made a lot easier when the car comes out with the swap engine as an option as is the case with the Camry. You should have any problems.
