Peanuts In Air Filter

I have just taken out the air filter element for it's first change and found a load of peanuts under it!!

Why? Any ideas anybody, it's a new one on me.

Do you have kids? - If so have they messed with it?

When was it last serviced? And was the filter touched? LAst person to touch it is the best place to start...........

its a '99, but his first change -

so my powers of deduction suggest he bought this car used - which would point to previous owners kids messing around ..

Squirrels maybe?

Did a claim at work the other week where an insured had lots of nuts in the engine from squirrels! Caused about £2k worth of damage in the end if I remember correctly :unsure:

No flavour, not even chocolate coated!

My kids are now grown up.

The last person was old, older than me and could only just drive so it’s unlikely to be him.

No squirrels around here.

I thought it would amuse you all but I’ve still no idea why they are there.

I did think it might be to stop something smelling………a rat maybe!

i have seen this before, on a 1989 celica ST-165. it pussled me as well.

maybe there is some secret power enhanser in peanuts? lol
