Not really sure.

I know tubbys have more power with a de-cat and the tubo can spool quicker, But dont n/a's need back pressure for better performance ?

Well it's debatable. I had a decat on my old N/A GTI and it seemed to help the car rev much more freely but at the slight cost of low end torque. I plan on getting one done on my 2 at some point as I tend to rev it quite high anyway.

De-catting an Na will not add to much in the way of power but will make the car feel a lot more responsive, definately worth donig as it so cheap to do...

Not to mention the change in tone of the exhaust :D
