Noise When Braking

Has anyone any thoughts on this one? Over the last week everytime I'm braking and come to a stop there's a sort of hissing noise (not squeaking or rattling) coming from what appears to be the front of the car - I've checked the tyre pressure and they are all OK.

Thanks - booked the car into the dealers and they told me to check the tyre pressure, as you can see I haven't a clue :wacko:
