I'm going to give oil seal conditioner a try after finding out that my valve stem seals might be worn. Has anyone tried it? Does it work? Is it safe to use? how often should you use it etc.......

Used to use Forte seal conditioner on when i worked with plant stuff. Seemed pretty good on things like crankshaft seals and the like, But thats on diesel stuff which does tend to run a bit cooler than petrol engines. And it was only ever used as a temporary fix until the stuff was due for major overhaul. Worth a try i would have thought.

You could try using a slightly thicker oil? Might help a bit, might not, but can't hurt to try next time you change it.

thicker oil...nope ... think about it ... prob is leaky bits....thicker oil will clog the good bits slightly ... and where will the extra pressure go?... yup ....out the nearest big hole...right ?.. and wheres that?.... answers on a postcard to " i ****** my engine and im sorry " ...sorry for the hostility really I am... but the garage should be able to sort that for you no worries and minimal cost...let the boys do their job...have fun and stay out of the hedges :D
