do you think it could be done??? maybe splicing the loom for the box or puttin the engine in an auto ?

can i ask why??

id find it boring not being able to choose when to upshift and when to downshift

I also wonder why anyone wants an auto tubby, dont think it can be done as so many parts are different between the na auto/non auto... I wouldnt even want to get started on the turbo!..lol.

I'd have though a GTE block would break an Auto fairly quickly .. the torque would be too much.

BUT .. the auto off a soop would fit. Dunno how much fabrication would be needed, but they'll take about 600 lb/ft ..

thought autos were generally stronger than manuals?

the auto box was never designed for the turbo, so it may be stronger than the n/a box but the turbo box will be stronger.

Pretty sure they never made an Auto Turbo from Toyota.

Could be useful for a disabled person (just thinking of all reasons etc)...

Sure it could be done but as said wouldn't use an MR2 auto box as won't last 2 secs... Could eb an embarrasing attempt at a 1/4 mile

Might be difficult finding an ECU that would cope with the turbo mill and the electronic auto 'box.

I was just doing an insurance quote and they had an option for an auto mr2 turbo auto!

But i know insurance companies arent the clerest when it comes to cars!
