Standard Toyota Cd Player?

Hi There,

I recently bought a Toyota Yaris Y reg 2001 which I think is a Phase 1. It has a tape cassette player which i have found doesn’t work as I found, half a mangled tape in there. I've been looking at standard Toyota CD players on eBay but some people are not sure if it will fit into my Yaris. Is there a model number or numbers that will fit a Phase1?

This is the model numbers on the eBay item and the seller says he can't see why I won't fit. I rather be sure before I buy.

I know a lot of you have put in better CD players if any of you have the standard Toyota CD Player that you wish to sell that would fit into a phase 1 i would be interested.

good question!, mine is the phase 1 CD player and the only difference i can see is that the buttons are rounded instead of the square ones on the phase 2 , the unit is the same size etc..

You may come into problems with the connections though as they may be different stereo manufacturers.

CD players out a phase 1 will not fit a phase 2 or vice-versa.
