Hey been lookin at this website for a while now and finally signed up :thumbsup: lol anyway i fitted my aftermarket headunit with the autoleads facia thing and the toyota part, everthing is going well, until the goddamn ciggy lighter whats up with it. It doesnt budge at all i have bruise fingers trying to get it off and it just wont so anyone got any suggestions ?

This is the way I did it, if there's an easier way let me know too.

You have to remove the screw inside the ciggy lighter, and take the back off where the wires connect to, so your just left with the metal body.

Make sure you know which way it goes back.

Then for me it was just a case of moving it round, scraping some of the plastic away and hitting it with a hammer before it finally came out.

Because when you buy the new fascia from toyota it doesn't come with the ciggy lighter or an ashtray, and it would probably look a bit bare without it,

Welcome! I managed to sort mine without the use of a hammer. It took me ages to do mind and was a really fiddly job. You jut need to take it apart piece by piece. Mine was in bits by the time i was done but managed to re fit it into my new facia without trouble. Good luck!!!

hey cheers for all the replies guys much appreciated lol. Been tryin all morning with the ciggy lighter but to no avail so i think im just gonna buy a new one and stick it on lol saves me the hassle of putting it bak on the old facia when i sell the car !
