All the power windows in my '93 4Runner stoped working, except the drivers door

window. The rear gate window will only go up from the inside switch if I

lower it from the key on the outside. Also, when I'm raising the rear window & I depress the lock botton, it will stop going up. Is this a problem with the window

lock button. I do hear a clicking when I try to lower the rear window from

the inside. Relay switch?

Thanks in advance.

Dave, these things usually suffer from low voltage through bad connections.

The fact only your drivers door works is typical as the drivers door is closest to the power source and is barely getting enough power to work while the windows at the back dont get any power.

Im assuming yours is the same as landcruiser and other Toyotas.

Start with the battey terminals and if ok go to the drivers door and check the wiring to the switch.

Clean up any corrosion and tighten any wiring.

Hi,

Thanks for your responce. This is what I first assumed do to me living right on the beach...salt air & all. The only reason I didn't pursue the wireing harness is because the rear window will go up fine, but not down. Just seems like a mechanical failure. I will try looking at what you mentioned today.

Thanks Again,

Dave
