Boring Diesel

I have an Avesis 2.2 D4D. It was bought new in November 08 and the amount of torque was disapointing to say the least. On the recommendation of a friend and two other diesel owners I installed a Synergy box from tuning-diesels.com. It allows multiple adjustment below and above 2500rpm. I have set it on "medium" on both and the car has much better pull from about 1500rpm upwards. Because of the extra torque I hadly ever execeed 3000rpm (no point) and as a result I have a quicker car that gets at least 10% better fuel consumption.

I did try it on the highest setting just to see if I could tell the difference and the wheels spun in the dry in second gear. Quite good fun but probably expensive on tyres.

I don't what the actual power and torque gains were but the torque in particular is significant.

My insurance went up by £20. Insurance through Elephant.

My wifes T180 has a power box fitted to it by SPIDER which produces 215bhp, Not sure on the torque figure off the top of my head but i'm sure its on their web-site.

It really does make a fantastic difference and their after service really is without doubt second to none.

I have one fitted to my own car as well and they have been faultless
