Any advice on this would be appreciated. The a/c on my Avensis suddenly stopped while driving in very hot weather (Trinidad). Took it to the dealer (actually this is a subsidiary of Toyota) and they said 1) compressor's spoilt, 2) magnetic clutch is spoilt and 3) don't drive it since this will make things worse. They kept it and let me have a loaner while the replacment compressor etc. are delivered. What gives? Is this serious? Has this happened to anyone? The car is 1 year old, and under 15000k.
