Alarm Problem

We bought an avensis about a month ago but for the past week or so the alarm has been going off about 2-3 times a day, this was annoying but bearable, but last night it went off at 2am. We can't seem to lock the car without setting the alarm, we don't need the alarm on - how can we cancel it?

If I was you I'd adjust (or get some1 else to adjust) the sensitivity of it, an unsensitive alarm is better than no alarm.

In answer to your question though, depending on what you have, if you press 1 button to lock the car & then the other, it will either doublelock it or take the alarm off.

Edit: this thread might be of some use to you. Oh, and welcome to TOC.

Thanks, I'll look into getting the sensitivity adjusted, for now we've locked it using the key instead of the fob (found this out from other postings about alarms) and this stops the alarm being set so I can rest easy at night at least.. thanks for the reply. ;)
