This is gonna take a while!!!

I'm Kinda stuck... I have a Sony CDX MP40 head unit for my 2001 Yaris T Sport. Details below...

* Compact Disc/Mini Disc changer controls

* Front & rear pre-amp outputs

* Wireless remote control (includes battery)

* NO SUBWOOFER PREAMP OUTPUT

* NO ANTI-SHOCK MEMORY

* NO DVD PLAYBACK

* NO VIDEO CONTROL

I also have an amplifier which will power a subwoofer, with midis and tweeters (which will run directly from the headunit), details below...

NOW...

I'm pretty sure i know how to wire everything, except one aspect.

The headunit has AUDIO OUT FRONT, AUDIO OUT REAR and BUS IN ports on the back. I dont know HOW or WHAT to connect the phono leads from the amplifier to on the head unit.

HOW DO I CONNECT MY AMPLIFIER TO THE HEADUNIT IN THE EASIEST, CHEAPEST WAY BUT WITHOUT A MAJOR LOSS IN SOUND QUALITY???

PLEASE HELP ME!!! :crybaby:

Are you just wanting to use the Amp just for the sub then, and want to continue to drive the main Speakers from the head unit?

In that case I think you can just connect one pair of the preouts to the MRD-M605 and it will resolve from that the Sub signal it needs. I think the rear connections would be the ones to use.

If that sounds OK for you then fine, but I would think you'd want to also ampilfy your other Speakers. Not sure if the MRD-M605 can power these and also drive the bass?

I know it does have preamp outputs for routing signal to another amplifier so you can feed a second Amp from this one if required.

cheers!!!! i think i'll give it Aygo (he he!) a go and c if it sounds ok. may end up running the components from a second amp but financially not viable at the mo!!

thanks again.
