More questions from a new member!

Hello from a new one. I'm probably going to buy a Corolla T3 1.6 soon, but before taking the plunge I have a couple of questions. I have phoned Toyota, but they weren't able to say. Q1: is there a 2003 model (minor changes etc) on the way, assuming the current one is the 2002? Q2: do any forum members know if there will be a larger engine available to the hatch, (e.g. 1.8) but of lower top end power than the TSport? I'd like a bit more torque, and higher 5th ratio than the 1.6, but don't need 189bhp!

Personally, I think the new corolla is too new for there to be any changes in 2003.

There is a 1.8 engine available in the Verso, or 2.0 Diesel.

I don't work for Toyota, so don't have any inside info.

next year the corolla is due to be face lifted with start of production being some time in august. the changes include modified front end to bring the corolla in line with the new avensis, 4wd system, a new engine-unsure what capacity at the moment,side impact air curtains.
