They did in a fashion and no one bought them so they haven't bothered since. It was the IS Sportcross, rather small 3 series tourer type thing.

Mine's for sale if you would like one Lusty. I just don't use it often enough now that we have the MR2.

Very rare car. Low mileage and almost perfect condition. They're rear wheel drive too, and the build quality is absolutely fantastic.

I hear Lexus won't be making a Sportcross version of the new IS.

I imagine they dont think the market for them is there, so why should they bother? Shame tho!
