1998 Colorado Clutch Problem

Has anybody out there had a similar experience to myself. I own a UK spec Landcruiser Colorado 3.0 Td Manual GX model 5 door 1998 ®

At 78K the clutch has exited this world no major drama as it does loads of heavy towing and heavy duty off road. I have owned the car since 6month sold and 6K miles. Its never ad a clutch /work on this part of the car to my knowledge FTSH when i purchased.

I dropped the car into my local garage (not Toyota but a bunch of mechanics that are well switched on) they transplanted a new clutch in the car ordering it by vehicle chassis no, Toyota confirming this is a UK car , the supplied clutch would not fit my vehicle had a recessed flywheel ???!!!! Toyota do not stock such a clutch mine was 10mm larger than the only 1 specced by Toyota.

Result had to have a new flywheel fitted as well at an extra £350.00, not a happy bunny ,i've got the flywheel / clutch any body else seen this before i write to Toyota for an explanation !!
