Well, these are pretty much the specs of a Carina TD.

Power (SAE) 61KW@4000 RPM

Torque (SAE) 174Nm@2000~3000 RPM

In other system it more o less:

Power 82CV@4000 RPM

Torque 17,4Kgm@2000~3000 RPM

In terms of speed and asceleration I don have the numbers, but I can tell you my experience:

Top speed: 185 Km/h

Fuel consumption @ 100 Km/h: 26 Km per litre

But my friend, you must remember that a turbodiesel is not for perfomance and high speeds. Its better for a excelent driving, for pulling etc. (one of these day I will tell you the paradox of a gasoline engine and a diesel engine on the highway...)Thats why I decided for one, because of its responce at low revs is much much better than a gasoline engine, even if you have the completely loaded with people and bags, diesel is cheaper and it not necessary an exaustive maintenance, only a few tips to be considered.

Any way I am very happy with my adquisition.... :P

Good luck with your search!!!

Cheers

PD: YES, I speak SPANISH...

Well thank you kind sir.

Actually I have a carina so I held most of this data anyway and just needed a bit of a copy and paste session.

I was thinking about converting the quoted £ into € as yakal is spanish but decided against it - I would need to do the MPG as well and just didn't fancy the mathmatical headache !

Ok, I admit it, bad joke... :!Removed!:

By the way, did you see the picture I posted a few hours ago?

It's not, but we usually work with HP or CV in terms of power. One has to be multiplied by 1.16 to get the other.

Dont mind... its OK. ;)

Thanks!
