Yaris T-sport---------> Dump Vaulve

Hi

Ive got a Yaris 1.5l t-sport FIRE-RED which i cant drive for another :ffs: 6 months due to INSURANCE!!! :censor: . So i decieded to get parts for it and fit new things to make it go faster as well as look better. Im still looking for an ultimate body kit, I have found one but its not that amazing. Anyway I heard you need a turbo kit make that rad noise, when the turbo releases pressure through the dump vaulve when changing gears, it makes that noise every driver loves. I was also considering a new exhaust and an induction kit, but that can come in later once the bodykit is decided. Anyway, is there anyone out there who knows if i can get the hardcore noise :D on my yaris?

Thanx :help:

 Alex

To have a dump valve you need a turbo.

If you want a cool sounding car I'd suggest exhaust, (back box will do) & induction kit with cold air feed. :)

However if insurance is so bad you can't afford to drive the car is it a good idea to modify it thus adding to your premium?

lol surely if ur modifying it it's gona make ur insurance even worse!

I agree with 97paseo, back box and induction kit!

Well cheers guys,

if there is one thing i really hate in this world i definatly put insurance :censor: on my top 5 list. However i never said i was intending to tell them exactly how much im going to modify my car, so i guess ill be better of leaving it as it is, i just wonna drive the damn thing, im pretty fed up of driving a crapy little fiat seicento. :crybaby:

thing is... you will only be covered if you hit someone but you will not be covered fully comp becasue you are not going to disclose all your mods

so really you only need 3rd party insurance.... No point doing 3rd party F&T because if it gets nicked the insurance company will find ways not to pay you.. and thats because you did not disclose the mods.

If you do this then i suggest you take addequate mesures to secure your car from theft and stick an alarm on it with immobiliser.

By not disclosing the mods made to your car I thought the insurance could get out of paying everything....

Dump Valve on an NA, sounds a bit Max M :censor: to me...

Yes the sound of a nice Dump Valve on a decent turbo is great but on an NA would sound silly as it would very out of place...

Of course just my 2p bvut think how much £££ you could make from the Nova boys :lol::lol:

I checked i cant get third party for my car cause its younger than 3 years, which makes it a pain in the *****, i just got my quote today £4368.00  from Norwich Union, There is no way im paing that much. Can anyone suggest a better Insurance company to go with :help: ?

As far as the dump vaulve great job VTRick, sounds great just what i was looking for, but on the scale of how hard it is to fit it from 1 to 10 what what you say, or do i have to take it to a toyota garage.

Official Insurance Statement:

If a car has been modified in any way, whether cosmetic enhancements or to increase performance, these modifications must be declared in full, and defined on the policy document, otherwise the policy will be declared null and void.

Basically, this means, you do anything to your car, and don't tell the insurance, you are driving an un-insured car, and in the event of an accident, not only will you be liable for all costs, but the police will be able to prosecute you for driving without insurance.

Just thought I'd mention it...

Varies to much between insurance companies to compare mods with other people.

The number i gave you specialises in under 25's with modified cars so could be worth a try

Only put my insurance up by £50 for every mod on the car :D :D :D

:!Removed!: just my spoiler pushed it up £46 but full bodykit with bonnet vent and colour change £9.20 work that out

I got quotes for all the cars I was interested in when I was shopping in 2001. It's amazing, the differences between cars that seem to be in the same insurance group.

My quote for the YarisTS was amongst the best - it's a group 7 I think.

I was 29 when I bought it so my insurance was OK - But get this.. moving from Luton to Harwich nearly HALVED my premium (I also had clocked up another year of NCB)!!

I pay about £350 now with 3 years NCB. I'm with Direct Line - very happy with them as my last claim needed to be settled in court (in my favour) when a company car driver pulled in front of me and stuffed my front valance.

Hey,

Well this is the short story about my car.

Ive been on the road scince november when i turned 17, i passed my test in early feb, so i havent been on the road that long. Origionally my dad got a yaris for me as long as i do well in colledge i can have it, otherwise i have to buy it of him. So i did well and got the car. Then i realised i can't get insured on it, so i bought my self a fiat seicento 1.1l sport. Ive been driving it since late feb. Now my pops is fed up with the yaris he wants more power in a viechle so he wants me to drive it or we will have to sell it :!Removed!: . I will need to get insured on it pretty quickly, i was also hoping to take it to that toyota thing up in northampton.

Anyway, im definatly not going for norwich union. But thanx for the number for that place sorted avensis, ill definatly give them a call.

Could try Adrian Flux on 08700 777888.

And always declare your mods

I agree with Sorted Avensis. Adrian Flux are are wkd. Everywhere else was asking well over £1K ti insure my modified Starlet!! Adrian Flux did me it for £700 Fully comp.

This is my second year with them, they insured me and my fiancee this year(last year was on my own) for £600 Fully Comp. Thats with suspension, rear bumper and rear discs added on for new policy!!!
