Origionally my dad got a yaris for me as long as i do well in colledge i can have it

I take it you're not doing English? If you are then you’ll be giving it him back. :D

A dump valve on a NA car is the most stupid thing I've ever heard, what’s going to happen when you meet a real turbo? I'll tell you, you are going to end up looking like a complete idiot, but then again if you’ve bought a fake dump valve you must have been one anyway.

my mate works for A1 perfomance, and weve been trying to figure it out for ages, the ammount of money you'd earn off of little nova/fiesta/corsa boys would be silly. we thought about that circuit thing with a chassis speaker. but it was just too hard, but weve sort of made this doobery that sits in your zorst pipe. we can get it to sort of dump. but only at high revs. but when revving it really sounds like a turbo winding up. it works on the back pressure in the exaust. i think were going to have to go with the turbo whistle though. i cant rack my brains anymore to make it dump louder.

and before you say, NO i would not be fitting one to my car. i like my noise as it is. anyway, thats what the starlet is for :D

i just thought it would be a money maker if it could be done.

I'm 19 with 1 years no claims and it costs me £1400 with tesco on my standard Yaris T Sport (Fully Comp), which isn't to bad, only £60 more expensive than my old Renault 19 1.4! But I know what you mean with the stupid quotes tho, one insurance company wanted £5000 for a Seat Ibiza Cupra  .

The sunamiturbo dump valve sounds more like a tyre leak!

But why would anyone want to fit one of these to a car... a dump valve is purely a functional thing... unless you wanted people to think you had a turbo.. but the moment you lift the bonnet thats over.. then everyone would think your a :censor:

Definatly, that will be the number 1 and 2 to do things, once i have the money, im not really that bothered about the dump valve, cause i wont be able to fit it myself and the get it fitted costs too much so its along time till it happens. But anyway thanx for the advice.

lol I love it'''little Speakers to simulate that Pssst noise...may as go one better and get one of those electronic gizmo's that makes your car sound like a TVR.

Loved the Whistle and pssst on my last turbo..but did you know Turbo's should run silent.... if you here em whislte they arn't balanced correctly.

and yes tell your insurers about every mod... if not your not covered.... also if say your tires are deemed illegal after an accident...again no cover, your motor is considered covered if road leagal.

Vipes.

i have a dump valve on my car a recirculating one cos think about other vehicles thas make a psssssht sound when changing gear...................................buses and hgv's  so with a recirculating valve all the noise at low speed round town driving goes into the aintake pipe on the turbo.

Okay... I can't believe this topic is still going! :ffs:

A dump valve is useful on a turbo car.. and serve's a purpose...

DO NOT put one on a N/A car... we don't want the Toyota name associated with the Max Muppet brigade.. it's a silly idea.. almost as bad as stick-on [pretend] carbon fibre..
