Bugger!

I feel like such a numpty, just spotted a flat tyre, God knows how long it's been like it, at least a couple of days?

Photo-0037.jpg

Resorted to using my space saver :crybaby: really gutted about that as it was completely unused and mint condition... oh well :(

The short of it is, I need one tyre to replace that one and whilst being inspected it appears that what I thought was a little nick in the opposite tyre also means a new replacement...

Two new rear tyres then please!!!

265/35/18, didn't really realise just how phat they are until i got one off!!!

Anyway, tried the Gold discounted tyres, not any in stock, so spoke to my 'man in the trade'

2x Continental or Goodyear £130 + VAT = £305.50

Sound alright?!!

I thought it did but what do I know?!!

This is trade price with absolutely no mark up- someone make feel better about this little misfortune so close to Chrimbo?!!

Blimey!

i got 2 Falkens 275/40/17 for £200 delivered

2 Goodyear Eagle F1's should set you back no more than £220ish pounds.

18"s are a LOT more expensive .. as it's not a popular size ..

15"s and 17"s are cheap .. 16"s and 18"s arn't ..

Are you sure they don't have any in gold?

I'm seeing Goodyear's at £115.20 & Continental's at £129.50

I really struggled to use it Ken, i'm pretty sure it was my error rather than a lack of stock! Is that price with VAT?!!

Oh well, I couldn't bare to see the gypsie tart of a space saver any longer so went with my mates offer.

These are the bad boys...

continentals

Looking around, i'm very happy with the quality for the price.

The price is also inclusive of fitting and coffee!

I've always gone for cheapies but figured my Soup deserves the best!!!

What you reckon of these? Still can't believe the size of em?!! :P

Oh yeah and Si, I TOLD YOU ABOUT IT ALREADY!!!

Surely another reason for you to get your butt down here again, still need a play in the Rado!!!

Tyres

When I first got my Supra I took it to one local tyre dealer and he had two VR 225/50/16's and fitted them. He swapped all the others arround so I would have the wheels on correctly and a decent spare and charged me £125 for all that. I went to another local dealer and he replaced another two tyres with those 'supra' ones (same sizes) for £60 each. I find that dealing with local traders is the best way to get decent stuff at reasonable prices. I would never ever go to a national franchise coz they are rip-off-ba'stards.

Hope you find cheaper and better.

Regards

Michael

Mate, 18s are always gonna be more expensive than 16s, and as I said, a mate did it at cost...

Now if you told me that's what the tyres I needed would cost i'd be gutted...
