How To Replace 1977 Hiace Radio?

Hi There,

Just bought a lovely 1977 Toyota Hi Ace Campervan. I'm in Sydney Australia, and i need to replace the radio. I can't get in to it at the moment, the radio cover includes holes for the heater/fan. It seems to be attacthed from the inside but not sure how to get at it from another angle??

I've had a peek under the cover and the radio is also slotted through (via the original radio knobs) a metal plate which i'm sure would hinder a new radio's instalment. Do I need to get the Hack saw out?? I hope not!!!

Please help!!
