Which Oil Please For Carina Gti?

Hi I have a carina GTI and would like to now which oil is reccomended. The engine is a 3s-ge type.

just ring a dealer they will tell you over the phone. my carina e is fully sinthetic apologies about spelling

Every Halfords now has a flip guide to oils where the oils are. Find your car in the list and it will tell you which weight oil to buy

With Halfords and other stores they usually dont list the GTi (to rare or never heard of). Important is also where you live air temperature is important for engines.

In Sweden, Norway, Denmark they use thinner oil because of the cold!

I live in Holland and I use fullsynthetic oil 15W40 change every 5000km and oilfilter.

15w40 either semi or fully synthetic is fine.

The recommended oil is 10w-40 or 5w-40.

A 5w-40 synthetic is the better option
