Remove Speed Limiter?

Hey guys.

I have a Jap-spec Supra MKIV TT. It has a speed limiter and a 180 km/h speedometer. I can get one that has 300 km/h on it (i'm from Denmark!), but can you please tell me how to remove the limiter? Is it easy? I have heard something about just removing the fuse for the traction control - is that correct?

In advance - thank you very much :-)

Erling from Denmark

Ok, thank you!

But is it wrong about the fuse though? It's a bit cheaper :-)

Maybe I should say that it's an automatic gearbox, Would this mean something, if I remove the fuse? And will the cruise control be affected by this?

Again - thank you :-)

Removing the traction control fuse on the US Spec, UK Spec and Euro spec cars will remove the speed limiter at 155mph.

But as you have a Jap spec car then you need to use electronic means to clamp the speed signal. There are quite a few companies around that can sell you a SLD (speed limite defencer) but i would strongly recommend the one from these guys.

They alse do a combined speedo converter with speed limit defencer.
