Bmw Supra

Believe it or not , I managed to convert my 1983 BMW 735i engine to a Supra 1JZ engine and it took me half a year to complete it. The complete wiring was transfered over.

Now my bimmer is power by 1JZ-GTE engine, I am really happy and enjoying it.

However I have a flashing O/D indicator below the tachometer when I speed up. It stays flashing till I off and re-start the engine again.

Appreciate if somebody could help.

YOU'VE DONE WHAT!!!

If you pop back in the next 24hrs i sure somebody might be able to shed some light on your prob as it's very quiet due to it is 3.15am in the UK at the moment(i'm assuming your not UK based)

I am guessing if you have an O/D button you have an Auto Box ?

Sounds like something ain't quite right in the wiring of the new engine....

Supra Engine in a BMW ???? Does this mean the fog lights now turn off and the indicators started working ?

Yes, the O/D , Power & Manual button are fitted and they are functioning well.

However the flashing O/D indicator only comes out if I do a hard rev while engaging on Drive.

Do you think it try to indicate something faulty on the A/T ?

I will put up some pictures of my car later.

It may sounds crazy to most of you but it's true. I managed to get the legal approval from the authority to convert the engine and obtained the valid road tax & insurance.

Well, I have a Merz 123 Model Year 1978 where i put in Toyota 1G-GTEU under the bonet.

It works well for 6 years now. But its time to change another engine now. Any suggestion ?

I mean from the vehicle weight vs horse power , which model of Toyota engine should i put in to get better driving experince ? Please Adivce .....thanks

Hello CKSET, i beleive u from malaysia. So i just wanna to know how much u spent to trasplant the engine in RM. Which region are you from anyway? Thanks. I planning to mount the engine in my 940Gl Volvo B)

Did anyone, or can anyone recomend what the usual problem is when the o/d light is flashing? I have a 1995 toyota Camry, and tonight the o/d light started flashing, and the check engine light came on. do I take it to a transmission place or the usual local garage

(or to the Toyota dealer :( )?
