Towing A 1985 4x4 Pickup?

Hello everyone,

I would like to tow a 1985 4x4 pickup with manual transmission with all 4 wheels on the ground using a tow bar. Anyone know if there would be a problem doing this such as needing a transmission lube pump or whatever? I had heard a rumor that there might be a problem towing this vehicle 4 wheels down as is. I appreciate any help you could give. Thanks

I have no specific knowledge on towing the truck, but why not remove the rear drive shaft at the very least, just to curtail the wear and tear...
