hi guys took my baby for m.o.t today

thinking of putting my cat back on and using this product to clean the cat out

then maybe it will pass emissions

or

has any kind soul out there got a decent cat (not moggie )

that i could borrow or buy

or

best place for getting a replacement cat

car is gen 6 celica st202 3sge engine replaced lambda sunday !

big brother is now watching me cos the mot inspector put down on advisory that i dont have a cat

fitted :censor:

any help gratefully accepted cheers paul

Make sure you get it roasting hot before you take it back for the retest. Even a tired cat should pass if it's hot enough (you could probably have scraped through without it if the engine was hot enough). Never heard of cataclean, but it sounds like a implausible to me.

I would have thought the way to heat it up is keep the rev's high whilst its sat still, no air passing through the radiator.

yes thats what the mot inspector tried

i have just ordered some cataclean and will try refitting the cat

and then put it in to c if it will bring the emissions down

next door neighbours son has recently left his job as mot inspector :censor: :ffs:

will keep informed on results of using this product

their claims seem very positive ieup to 60% reduction in emmisions

can but try

priced some cats looking at about £225 : :crybaby:

I've used a product called no smoke and stop smoke for this kind of thing in the past with Fords in particular needing as boost near that crucial time. Did overdose on the mix ratio though

I was under the impression that post 93 cars need to be fitted with a cat, as I had to replace mine for MOT's. Surely if it passed last year you can use your old cat again, as if its been left it should work as well as it did then.
