Installation In Ae82 Parcel Shelf

I wish to install some 6x9s in my rear parcel shelf, do i basically jus need to cut it out an screw the Speakers in ? ? or do i need to use some sort of brackets or something on the shelf to support the Speakers properly ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can just cut holes out of the shelf for the Speakers. A sharp Stanley knife will cut it or use a drill and a jigsaw. The rear shelf may start to bend a little depending on how much your 6x9's weigh.

Your other option is to build an MDF rear shelf that will be a lot stronger.

The choice is yours!
