Yaris Headunit

hi i just brought yaris tsport two weeks now and i wanna add a amp and sub..does any body know if the original headunit has relevent outputs for the amp i was told that it hasnt but if it hasnt how can toyota do amp and sub as optional assesories.

can anybody give me advice??

Hi,

The optional Toyota equipment does not use line level outputs as we know then, it is all active kit where the amps are built into the subs, they use signals to the rear Speakers usually to create a live level signal for the amplifier to work with. You can buy these line level converters, alpine do the best one I know of, with some others available also.

for sum reason my car doesnt have back Speakers to do this and dunno if the player supports an extra two Speakers at the back and using speaker wires to feed the sub, any idea what it will sound like?

do you know the make number for the line level converter?

the last thing wanna do is add new headunit because 1 off the reason i opted the 03 model was the remote.

i see that you added in a mp3 player in how did you do this

does the storage space under the cd player fits for a head unit because it does looks abit tight.

you do have "rear" Speakers mate, there the ones in the door. warning though, youll have to upgrade your dash Speakers somthing rotten to keep up with a sub in the back. and on a standard HU it would be hard.
