Corolla Ts Testdrive

The car had 1 mile on the clock and had just arrived with a batch of others, a beautiful 5door metalic black CTS :D

After it was warmed up the salesman let us use the lift and generally give it a jolly good thrash, must say i'm quite impressed with it and i'm sure it can only get quicker once it has some proper miles on the clock

only concern was the exhaust note, sounded a little ... weedy, will this become deeper once it's run in or will it need a new exhaust system?

Can anyone tell me how much the TTE lowering springs are, and how much it is to have them fitted?

thanks

sam

Only when the engine / exhaust is hot (long highway run) Then it sounds good , but the exhaust of the Civic Type-R sounds better !

But for an original exhaust system the TS sounds not sooo bad :D But on the other hand a new system sounds even better.

Can anyone tell me how much the TTE lowering springs are

I've got the heigth adjustable suspension kit in my CTS and that's great ! Not too hard (even comfortable) but in curves the TS lies perfectly on the street !

ok that's good to hear :)

basically got a few thousand quid to play with for the CTS

so i was thinking...

uprated suspension

18" alloys

de-cat exhaust system

panel filter and possibly reworking of air intake

other little features like alloy pedals, door sills etc

any thoughts anyone?

uprated suspension - about 400 from toyota dealers looks and feels great

18" alloys - not done that cos i like the stock wheels they are not too bad plus 18inch will slow the cts down on pull away for sure then again big wheels always look good

de-cat exhaust system - not done that cos of the warrenty

panel filter and possibly reworking of air intake - if you want a good one that works go for injen it looks the biz about 240
