I was walking round Halfords today while waiting for car to be seen to and i came across a stereo that acts as a music player, dvd player AND even show the cars performance (G, lateral G, MPH, etc.) on its digital display! I was amazed. Quite expensive though ~£1000 = updated car alarm too i reckon!

Prior to seeing this i was thinking about getting the sony double ding thing, that takes up the whole space in the MR2 stereo compartment, but this thing rocks!

is that the pioneer one mate? looks very sweet :) Id love a screen for the 2 but Id just be attracting even more unwanted attention :(

when i get summat like that im definately making sure that i mod up summat that enables it to be taken out quickly and put back in.... assuming its not actually possible to do that already .... cant be too hard to knock up a snatchplate

Yes it is the Pioneer one, looks a great system. Apparently the screen folds down and slides into the stereo face or something, allowing the head unit to be removed as per normal, and nothing to display to unwanted guests or onlookers!

There's another good flip out DVD player stereo with screen coming soon. Don't know if I'm allowed to say anything else, but looks good and should be decent priced.

buy it from a proper car audio shop and itll be about 20% cheaper
