Carina E Fault Code Reader

Anyone know of a fault code reader for a Carina E 1.8 (7A/FE engine)?

Pop open the bonnet, and find the small grey diagnostic box. Open it and short pins TE1 and E1. Switch the ignition onto position 2 (but do not start) Now count the number of times the Engine Management light flashes.

i.e.

The light flashes twice, then pauses - this is the first digit.

The light flashes again just once then pauses.

The Trouble code is 21.

The test will cycle to the next trouble code after a longer pause if there are more problems or just go back to the first one again.

All codes are just two digits.

Hi I have an Avensis which has the same engine as the carina here, can tell me of somewhere i could find a list of what the fault codes actually mean
