Starlet Knn Filter Help

hi all, had a KnN on the car for a couple of mnths now, have noticed when giving full foot down the car seems to make a hissing noise as tho air is leaking out from somewhere and seems to be losing power, is it really handy to have one on? as i havnt noticed any difference with or without having the filer on, just thought post on here and see what kinda experiences you guys have had with filters as such.

well ive tried loads of set ups on my starly... and by far the best was the original airbox with a uprated panel filter (k&n)

u'll probably notice a huge flatspot with the cone filter.

if air is leaking from somewhere in the intake system it'll more than likey be at the filter side of the throttlebody... as if its in the intake manifold the car will be probably be ticking over at about 2000rpm.
