Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong.I am trying to upload images of my car to my garage gallery. I go to registry. I click on "manage item gallery", I enter the link in the box beside BROWSE and then click on " Add New Image"........... nothing. Or am I doing this all wrong? I have resized all the images so its not the image size.

Nah not really Bibbs - it's just the thread you pointed to wasn't really asking the same question as me ;) :thumbsup:

I'm wondering if a temporary image URL field could be added to the Garages for peeps who have their images externally hosted? Also, is the gallery directly linked to the browse and attach function within the garages? It would explain why no one can upload in that area.

In the Suggestions bit, I was trying to come up with a possible temporary fix if everyone else was having the same probs.

I think the whole think is off line after a hacking incident reciently where someone managed to upload a file to the system that started to collect sensitive data.

Ahh ok - so my suggestion might just get around that for now then. (?)

I'm thinking along the lines of other garages (IMOC comes to mind), where you have an option to do both. Maybe keep the Browse disabled if it was misused, but allow an external URL link to images for now?

Steve, is that possible?

Cheers.

I'd have thought a URL would be able to be pointed to a .exe a lot easier with what you are suggesting ..

That way you don't even need to get the file onto THIS server, you can point the URL at your own server and then run the code that way ..

Just guessing.

Ok, but for an image URL can only predetermined file extensions be allowed like .gif, .jpg, .png?

So entering a URL like;

<http://www.awebsitesomewhere.com/apic.JPG>

would work, but;

<http://www.awebsitesomewhere.com/apic.EXE> wouldn't?

I really have no idea how this works, so just guessing. Not even sure if it could be done - but if it can, it might help? :)
